On the Tee Box with Jesse Dowell – Presented by On Point Nutrition

VYPE: What are your personal goals this year and how is the season going?

Jesse: The goals for myself are to shoot in the 70s at one tournament this year and a good goal for the team would be to average around 80 at regionals.

VYPE: What is the most fun you have had in the last year?

Jesse: The most fun I’ve had with this golf season is going to courses I’ve never played and seeing how well we do on holes we’ve never seen before.

VYPE: Who is your favorite teacher from any grade and why?

Jesse: My favorite teacher is Mr. Lemin who’s the Oklahoma history teacher for ninth grade. He’s my favorite teacher because he explains Oklahoma history through storytelling. He has done some acting in the past, so he is very animated during class.

VYPE: What is your favorite athletic memory?

Jesse: My favorite athletic memory was winning the state cross country meet in seventh grade.

VYPE: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you and why?

Jesse: Bobby has been a big help this golf season. He told us how the high school tournaments work and is very welcoming to the freshmen.

VYPE: Who on your team has the best impression of your coach and who says the funniest things during games?

Jesse: I find that the funniest part of playing is when my brother will hit a bad shot and get mad.

VYPE: You can pick any place for a summer vacation, where do you go and who do you take with you?

Jesse: I would go to Florida with Preston and Casen, who also play golf with me, and we could go to the beach and play some nice golf courses.

VYPE: If we gave you 500 dollars and you had to spend it in the next 24 hours, how would you spend it?

Jesse: If I had 500 dollars then I would get a couple new golf gloves, golf pants, and save the rest for my first car.

VYPE: Here is your chance to say hello, goodbye or thank you to anyone you wish. Jesse: I want to thank my mom and grandparents for all the help and support throughout this season, but a special thanks to my dad who has really helped lower my scores this year.
