Getting to Know Westmoore Cross Country’s Brady Marlar – Presented by Community Builders

VYPE: What are your personal goals for the year and season?

Brady: For the school year I just want to finish it out and have good grades but for the season I hope to be able to throw down some fast times and help the team win state.

VYPE: What is the most fun you have had in the last year?

Brady: It’s not a specific time but just hanging out with my friends all summer.

VYPE: Who is your favorite teacher from any grade and why?

Brady: Mrs. McCall from 5th grade, she was really nice and chill and helped everyone.

VYPE: What is your favorite athletic memory?

Brady: Our team trips to Sulphur where we go run then swim in the really cold water and hang out together.

VYPE: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you and why?

Brady: It’s too hard to pick just one but Nathan, David, and Elijah have shown me that hard work absolutely pays off.

VYPE: Who on your team has the best impression of your coach and who says the funniest things during games?

Brady: He used to be on the team but graduated, Evan Howell, had a spot on impression of our old coach, Coach Downard.

VYPE: You can pick any place for a summer vacation, where do you go and who do you take with you?

Brady: I’d probably go to the Bahamas and bring all of my friends.

VYPE: If we have you $500 and you had to spend it in the next 24 hours, what would you spend it on?

Brady: I’d probably buy a few pairs of really good running shoes.

VYPE: Here is your chance to say hello, goodbye or thank you to anyone you wish.

Brady: Thank you to my parents, everyone on the team or anyone who has been on the team, and all of the coaches I’ve had through the years. I definitely wouldn’t be where I am without them.
