Putnam City North’s Jeremiah Moore – “Talk of the Tailgate” presented by Taco Bueno

When you talk about Putnam City North football, you must talk about Jeremiah Moore. The senior is a guard on the offensive line and a leader on and off the field. He loves to compete and head coach Derek Lane said Moore is a great example of a dependable student-athlete. “Jeremiah is another great kid we have on this team. He’s very dependable and is going to lead this team in a positive way,” said coach Lane.

For Moore, competing with his teammates on the field is what it’s all about. “What makes Friday nights so special is just that rush that I get when the ball is snapped and just getting to go out and compete,” said Moore. “North is a great place to go because the coaches are not there for the money or just there to be a coach, but they are there to push you to be your best self and teach you life lessons and when you are a part of North football then you really feel like you are a part of a family.”

Moore has made many great memories on the field and is looking to make many more this season. From pancaking two players at the same time or kicking out that defensive end so the running back can score, Moore has seen and done it all for the Panthers. “I love how my teammates always have each other’s back whether that’s on the field or off the field,” said Moore.

Being around the hype before a game or helping a teammate reach their goal, for Moore there is plenty that he will miss once his prep playing days are over.
“I’m definitely going to miss getting hype with my teammates before the game,” said Moore. “I am hoping to get an athletic scholarship this year and go on playing football and perusing my dreams of becoming an architectural engineer.”

Hitting a Taco Bueno for the Mucho Nachos is certainly something Moore and his
teammates are likely to do after a game. Moore loves to talk with his teammates and
coaches, watch film and fix any mental mistakes he made for the next game.
Look for Moore to continue being the “talk of the tailgate,” this season for the Panthers.
