OFFENSE

A deep playoff run for the Crescent Tigers in 2020 brings excitement for 2021. With seven starters returning on both sides of the ball, they feel they have another chance to make a run at a state championship. With mainly sophomores and juniors, the team will be relatively young again. With three running backs and three offensive linemen returning, they are all players to keep a close eye on. Luke Descher (5-9, 160, Jr.), C.J. Wilson (5-10, 130, So.), and Tayon Johnson (5-11, 200, Sr.) will all share time at running back, while Jayce Phelan (6-1, 270, Sr.), Alec Stephens (6-0, 255, Sr.), and Stone Fisher (6-2, 255, So.) will start on the line. Phelan is a three year starter at center for the Tigers and gets praise for his leadership from head coach J.L. Fisher. An underclassman that is bound for success is Stone Fisher who had an outstanding freshman year on both the offensive and defensive line. The offense will look to run out of both a spread and I formation.

DEFENSE

The defense looks to use their size and physicality to lead them to success. They will play out of a 4-3 formation and look to control the gaps. With multiple players playing both sides of the ball, they look for those players to lead due to their experience on the field. Stephens, Phelan, and Fisher will all start on the defensive line after finding success at their positions last year. Coach Fisher has a lot of confidence in his defense this year, due to most of his starters having plenty of field experience even as underclassmen. Also returning to the defense are Tanner Rice (So.) and Tylan Neugent (So.).
