Logan Troxell says that he has someone in his life who has always been there for him and is still there today.
“My older brother is someone that I have always looked up to,” he said. “I have always wanted to be as good as him or better. That has always kept me working to continually improve my game.”
Logan is a junior at Yukon High School. He plays both baseball and football for the Millers. On the football field, he plays quarterback, while he is a shortstop on the baseball diamond. He has played sports since he was five years old and says that he loves the games now as much or more than he did when he first started playing.
Troxell has had numerous people that have had an impact on his life and career over the years. But over his lifetime, he says that there is one person that has had the biggest impact on his life.
“My dad has always been the person I look up to,” he said. “He taught me how to be a strong competitor in all the sports I play. I know that I would not be who I am or where I am today without him.”
Yukon’s head baseball coach, Kevin James, says that Logan is a great example of working for what you want.
“Logan is a great kid and baseball player,” he said. “He is hard-nosed and competitive and is always ready to put in the time, even outside of scheduled practices. He works hard and strives to be the guy that does his best. I would say he also has a big heart and is always there for his teammates.”
Work is important in order to be your best, but Troxell says that for him, there are three things that are important to being successful.
“I think there are three things that will help lead you to success,” he said. “Great integrity, a good attitude, and maximum effort.”
