Cadyn Karl, a senior at Jones High School, has been playing baseball since he was four years old. He grew to love the sport at such a young age in the most classical way possible – playing catch with dad in the yard.
“What got me interested in the sport was playing catch with my dad,” he said. “I would love to try and make diving catches.”
Karl’s father continues to play a major role in his life as the person Karl admires most.
“I look up to my dad,” he said. “His life revolves around his kids. He works hard to provide us with everything we want or need. He rarely ever misses a game of mine or my siblings.”
The pitcher/centerfielder for the Longhorns says the best part about playing sports in high school is the opportunity to make friends and memories that will last a lifetime. One of those memories that is his favorite to look back on is beating OCS his freshman year to go to state..
In addition to baseball, Karl plays football and is involved in National Honor Society. After graduation he plans to continue his baseball career at Kansas State.
