Players to Watch

Softball

Emiaj Self – Moore

Emiaj is an amazing shortstop, but also a great teammate. She is always helping out where needed and looking for ways to improve herself on and off the field. She has committed to play at the Colorado School of Mines.

Raelynn Sandlin – Norman

Raelynn will be the anchor of the offense, as she led the team in almost every offensive category last season. She will also be a key part of their success as she will be there to mentor a young pitching staff from behind the plate and will be a field general for the defense.

Taitum Bradshaw – Southmoore

The Grand Canyon University commit has started since her freshman year in centerfield and hitting at the top of the lineup. Taitum has good power and exceptional speed with great hands and tracks the ball well in the outfield. 

Tinley Lucas – Washington

Tinley has been a four-year starter. She is a great leader and always makes sure the team is moving in the right direction

Adelaide Haack – Westmoore

Adelaide is a hard-working and consistent athlete that anchors the team on both the offensive and defensive sides. She works on and off the field to better herself athletically and academically. Adelaide works on her own time to hone and improve her skills. She is a composed player who is a tone-setter for her team.

Underclassmen to Watch

Football

Landon Roberts – Little Axe

Roberts looks to be an impact player this season. He was a big play threat on the middle school team. He is outstanding at running routes and has great speed and body control. He could easily see playing time as a freshman.

CJ Simon – Moore

CJ is back this season after a solid year last season. He had already received an offer from Texas Tech, but with a good year, he should see more. 

Jordan Hensley – Noble

A player who has a chance to start on the offensive line as a sophomore this season.

Isaiah Coates – Southmoore

Coates will play multiple spots this season. His length and improved speed that was developed during the spring track season allows him to cover space and rush the passer. 

Nate Roberts – Washington

A big and outstanding athlete, Nate has the ability to have a breakout year on both sides of the ball.

Softball

Libby Jaques – Moore

Libby is a sophomore that is a multi-sport athlete. She has speed and power and is a great teammate.

Preslee Ray – Norman

Preslee is a very versatile young lady on the field. She returns for her sophomore year after starting at short most of the year and splitting time behind the plate. 

Bree Gomez – Southmoore

The speedy sophomore outfielder has played numerous roles for the Sabercats already in her career and will be looked upon to contribute both on defense and at the plate. 

Olivia Palumbo – Washington

Palumbo will be competing to earn one of the starting outfield spots as a sophomore and will get lots of innings in the circle.

Jordyn Moody – Westmoore

Jordyn was a major contributor on the mound in her freshman season. She has offensive power and defensive strengths that could also contribute to the team this season. Jordyn has a love for the game and a strong desire to compete.

Softball

Haley Kruger – Moore

Haley is an outstanding student-athlete. She has excitement and a love for the game that is contagious.

Avery Bozeman – Norman

Avery is constantly helping and building up the younger players around her. Not a game or practice goes by where you won’t spot Avery coaching up a freshman or sophomore in between pitches or in-between reps of drills. 

Brylee Fanning – Southmoore

An exceptional student with high moral character, Brylee will be the leader on defense as she moves to a leadership role behind the plate. Fanning also swings a great stick and has been a consistent contributor through her first two years.

Kennedy Lord – Westmoore

Kennedy is an all-around solid athlete, willing to always do what is best for the team. She is not always the athlete that is flashy and recognized, but she keeps her nose down, and works hard, with solid fundamentals. Kennedy is consistent on both sides of the ball with good power and the ability to play various positions.
