Since the age of seven, Mustang High School’s Kenzie Hamilton has performed on the sidelines of many football teams. Now a junior and a member of the varsity cheer squad, Hamilton is the “talk of the tailgate” for the Broncos.
“Friday nights are special in Mustang because so many people show up and it’s so much fun to cheer the football team on,” said Hamilton. “My favorite moment at the game is every time we make a touchdown and the crowd is going crazy and everyone’s cheering.”
Hamilton said she loves being part of this team and loves how she shares a special bond with her teammates.
“I love most about my team how close we all are and how fun the practices are,” Hamilton said. “Mustang is a great place to go to school because everyone is so involved in our sports, dress up weeks, and other activities.”
Hamilton plans on cheering next season as well, but she is making plans for her future after high school.
“My plans after I graduate is to get my cosmetology license and become a hair stylist,” said Hamilton. “I’ll miss most about Friday nights is cheering with my best friends and all the memories we make.”
