As a member of the Pom squad at Moore High School, senior Ciara Murrell is the “talk of the tailgate” and a student-athlete who loves her school.
“I have been in Pom for year years,” said Murrell. “What I love most about my teammates is how we’re all a big group of girls who grow closer and closer throughout the year and we’re all a bunch of goofs.”
That team comradely makes Friday nights special when they take the field.
“Friday nights are special to me because they’re the most memorable nights of the year and the most fun nights through the year,” said Murrell. “My favorite moments at the games this year is when the student section plays music on their speaker and Pom starts a dance circle. And everyone in the student section starts cheering, it’s like friends hanging out having a fun time.”
Murrell said she will miss being part of the action on Friday nights and will miss her classmates.
“I’m going to miss it so much. Moore is such a great place to go to because everyone is like family, everyone is so nice and loving. And we always know how to have a good time. I will miss getting ready with my girls, going out there before we perform, having all this adrenaline and then performing and having the best time after on Friday nights,” said Murrell. “My plans after I graduate are to get my nursing degree and become a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Nurse (NICU Nurse).”
