Crescent’s Kinidi Taylor Athlete Spotlight Presented by Community Builders

Kinidi Taylor is an outstanding athlete at Crescent High School. Kinidi is a senior and displays her athletic abilities through her impressive performance in track.
Kinidi began running track at a young age, and it quickly became her passion.
“I started running track in seventh grade,” she shares. “I fell in love with it and I have never looked back since. Track has changed my life for the better and I couldn’t be more thankful for what God has given me.”
During her time participating in track and field, Kinidi has grown to love the community and atmosphere that she has found within it.

“I love that every person out there has your back. I love that most of the girls I compete against are also some of my best friends and we are always cheering for each other and always there to celebrate each other’s accomplishments.”
Being involved in track since the seventh grade has allowed for Kinidi to learn many valuable lessons.
“The biggest lesson I have taken away from my sport is that your circumstances don’t control your results. I attend a school without a track and most of our practice comes at the meets themselves. I have learned that working on your own is just as important as putting work in with your team. Don’t be afraid to put in extra work.”
The hard work and dedication that Kinidi has put towards her track career has paid off. Although it is her senior season, her time running track is not over yet. She is committed to continue her track and field career at Oklahoma State University in the fall. The biggest piece of advice that she has to offer to any athlete is that confidence is key.
“Be confident in everything you do and never be afraid to ask questions.”
