Hi, what are you looking for?

Moore/Norman

Q&A with Westmoore golfer Laci Fravert – Presented by Gregory’s Sporting Goods Inc

VYPE: How did it feel to be a young player (freshman and sophomore) when you
went to the state tournament in golf?

Laci Fravert: I am very blessed to have been a part of a great opportunity to play with
other girls my age.

VYPE: What preparation did you (or the team) take in order to be successful?
LF: My team and I worked at our game every day with the help of our coaches.

VYPE: What do you hope to accomplish in your upcoming season?
LF: In this coming up season, I would like to shoot consistently in low 80s or high 70s. I also hope to make it to state for my fourth time.

VYPE: What has your sport taught you that you use in your daily life?
LF: Golf has taught me two valuable life lessons. It has taught me to stay calm and to be honest with not only other people, but myself as well.

VYPE: Why are you passionate about your sport?
LF: Every time I hit a good shot, it is almost addicting and makes me want to keep
practicing and playing. I really like how golf is an individual’s sport even though that comes with its own struggles.

VYPE: Who inspires you and why?
LF: One golfer that I have looked up to for a while is Rory McIlroy. He always pushes
through no matter how bad or good he is playing. I hope to be the same throughout my golf career.

VYPE: What has been your favorite memory in your sport?
LF: My favorite memory that golf has given me is meeting some of my lifelong friends. These people have stuck with me through everything, and I am so glad I was able to play with them.

VYPE: What is the best advice anyone has given you?
LF: The best advice I’ve been told is to “Take one shot at a time.” This advice has not only helped me with struggles in golf but has help me with situations in day-to-day life.

VYPE: Here is your chance to give a shout out or say anything to anyone you wish!
LF: I would just like to thank my parents for pushing me to be the best I possibly can. I would also like to thank both of my high school coaches for working me to my full potential and teaching me so much.
