WESTMOORE JAGUARS

Coach: LORENZO WILLIAMS

3-8

OFFENSE

New faces in new places have the Jaguars ready to pounce in 2023. Southeast transfer Michael Graham (6-1, 195, Sr.) takes over at quarterback. Graham has been putting up big numbers at Southeast, where he’s been the starter for the last three seasons. Graham moves in behind a talented and experienced offensive line. Tackles James Williams (6-3, 320, SR) and Carlos Pardo (6-4, 300, Sr.) each have a variety of collegiate offers. Williams has multiple years of starting experience. Guards Cheii Larney (6-2, 300, Jr.) and Joseph Coffee (6-2, 275, Jr.) both saw extensive action last year. Tight end Zane Zielny (6-5, 225, Sr.) has multiple Division-I offers. He’s been a fixture in the starting lineup as well as a standout for the Jaguars basketball team. Zielny is equally talented as a blocker or receiver. The Jags should have a variety of weapons to catch the football. Mishaun Graham (6-1, 175, Sr.) also joined the roster from Southeast with his brother. Graham caught a pass on his back in the final seconds to help the Spartans to defeat Cache. His skills certainly transfer to the 6A level. Jaden Hunter (5-10, 165, Jr.), Kolton Bennett (6-0, 165, Sr.) add speed to the outside. Bennett is the Class 6A defending 400 and 800-meter champion. Mykel Patterson-McDonald (5-11, 185, Sr.) will see some time on offense in addition to his full-time role on defense. He can line up in the slot or at running back alongside Matt Evans (6-0, 180, Sr,) who rushed for more than 700 yards in 2022 and promising newcomer Jett McCoy (6-3, 175, So.)

DEFENSE

Javian Council (6-2, 285, Sr.) is the first line of defense for the Jaguars in the three-technique. Council is receiving interest from Division-I schools. Courtney Graham (6-4, 225, Sr.) lines up outside of Council on the defensive front. Behind them, Westmoore welcomes back a group that has seen their share of action. Outside linebacker Conner Cavnar (6-0, 220, Sr.) is always around the football. How much, you ask? Cavnar made an incredible 189 tackles in 11 games in 2022. Tanner Fallwell (6-1, 220, Sr.) and Quest Morris (6-0, 225, Jr.) can both run to the football. The secondary is led by Mykel Patterson-McDonald (5-11, 185, Sr.) who has an offer from the University of Oklahoma. He’s a four-year starter and the dean of a secondary that has lots of depth. Both Graham brothers will see time on defense as well. Jaeden Williams (6-0, 165, Jr.) has been a starter since he walked on campus at Westmoore in the ninth grade. Williams could expand his role a little bit this fall at running back. Dewayne Bumphas (5-10, 165, Jr.) has experience at safety. The Jaguars have big potential in 2023. Behind Graham’s abilities and the returning experience, Westmoore has a chance to be one of the big cats on the west side.
