CARL ALBERT TITANS

Coach: MIKE DUNN

12-2

OFFENSE

The Titans are loaded. Skill, size, strength and speed. It’s all here. Those four adjectives aptly describe running back Xavier Robinson (6-2, 225, Sr.) who ran for just shy of 2,600 yards and scored 39 touchdowns as a junior for the state champion Titans. The quarterback spot is loaded with the addition of Prosper, TX move-in Kevin Sperry Jr. (6-0, 225, Jr.). He’s verbally committed to the University of Oklahoma and considered one of the top prospects in the country. Kash Ferris (6-2, 175, Sr.) started six games a year ago for the Titans and is more than comfortable running the offense. Trynae Washington (6-4, 210, Jr.) and Trystan Haynes (6-2, 165, Jr.) both have multiple Division-I offers at wide receiver with the speedy Noah Darnell (5-11, 175, Jr.) ready to wreak havoc in the slot. Bishop McGuinness move-in Marcus James (6-4, 220, Jr.) slides in at tight end solidifying the Titans’ punishing two tight end formation. Maddox Wilkerson (6-4, 230, Jr.) has break-out potential at the other tight end. The offensive line is experienced. Four full-time starters return. Tanner Norman (6-2, 265, Sr.) and Brock Johnson (6-1, 230, Sr.) are the offensive tackles with Treyton Holland (6-0, 220, Sr.) at center. Easton Collier (6-0, 230, Sr.) fills one guard spot with Easton Perkins (6-0, 220, Sr.) and Emmerson Williams (6-0, 270, Sr.) competing for the starting spot as the other guard. Keep an eye out for Delijah Matthews (5-10, 160, Fr.). His speed and escapability will be a very nice compliment to the bull-dozing Robinson in the backfield. This offense is versatile and deep and should be a nightmare for any defense to stop.

DEFENSE

The edge and the secondary are elite. Caden Davis (5-11, 210, Jr.) led the state in sacks with 21 in 2022. His motor is relentless, and he can play on the line or off. The opposite edge is manned by Brock Johnson (6-1, 230, Sr.) a three-year starter. A.J. Mason (6-3, 265, Sr.) started all 14 games a year ago at one of the three down positions. Maddox Wilkerson (6-4, 230, Jr.) will get reps at the position. The secondary features Trynae Washington (6-4, 210, Jr.) and Trystan Haynes (6-2, 165, Jr.) at corner. Washington’s frame might be better suited for safety where he should see some playing time. Jakyre Carter (5-9, 170, Sr.) returns as a starter at the opposite safety. That’s not to say linebacker isn’t also a strength for the Titans. Marcus James (6-4, 220, Jr.) projects to linebacker on the next level. He will be a force on the outside. Easton Harless (5-10, 200, Sr.) can play in the middle or on the strong side. He’s not afraid to mix it up with anyone. Caden Longstreet (5-11, 190, Sr.) and Cooper Brackage (6-1, 170, Jr.) are ready to step in and take on more responsibility at the position. The Titans are the favorites to defend their state championship. This team has the potential to be one of the best to line up at a program that is a giant among giants in Oklahoma high school football.
