Sophomore volleyball player Misell Wagner started playing sports at a young age but when
she entered middle school Wagner found volleyball and has stuck with it. As a student-
athlete at Midwest City High School, Wagner said there is no place better to be a student
and to compete in sports.
“I think Midwest City High School is a great place to be a student-athlete because of the
hard work every athlete puts in, along with the support from our coaches and student
body. I’m excited for the opportunity to help build a better volleyball program at Midwest
City,” said Wagner.
Wagner said the team works hard to get better every day and she’s excited for the fans to
watch how much the team has improved.
“What I have enjoyed most about our team this year is the support from our coaches, along
with the chemistry on the court. This group is a hardworking team with the ambition to
win. Everyone on our team has greatly improved this season, but I would keep an eye on
Ja’kayla Jackson and Trinnati Allen,” said Wagner.
In the classroom, Wagner said her favorite subject is English, but she wants to study
Biology in college. Wagner is a member of DECA and is looking forward to having a great
junior year.
