Just last week . .
In a 9-8 win against Edmond North, Karissa Payne went OFF batting 4 for 4 with 5 RBIs and 2 runs. The Bombers have won 3 of the last 4 games after dropping a great defensive game 0-1 game to Muskogee High School.
The Bombers scored 31 runs for and gave up 10 in the last 4 games. Karissa hit in/scored 13 of the 31 runs!!!
Payne went 6 for 8 with batting .750 with 8 RBIs and 6 runs while walking twice and striking out only one time.
Karissa is a team leader and a utility player that has 40 putouts with only 2 errors on the season starting at 2nd base, catcher, 3rd base and Short Stop this season. She is also a great student-athlete with straight A’s while playing hard for the Bombers!
For the season Payne is hitting .459 with an OBP of .565. She has 17 hits including 4 triples with 13 RBIs, scored 16 times, walked 6 times with only 2 strikeouts on the season.
“Payne worked really hard in the offseason to get her game to this level and is looking forward to playing college softball after this year!” said Bombers softball coach Mark Judson
