Being a multi-sport student-athlete is not easy, but Westmoore High School’s Jaycie Daggs
has a way of making it look easy. The varsity volleyball player also plays soccer and is
committed to play soccer at the next level.
“While I always have enjoyed playing volleyball, my main sport is soccer. I am verbally
committed to play college soccer at the University of Central Oklahoma, but volleyball will
always have a special place in my heart,” said Daggs. “The friendships I have formed, while
being able to do something I love is something I will never forget. Our team is a family, and
that is what I enjoy most about being on the volleyball team.”
As a student, Daggs said the support everyone receives from the faculty and staff is one of
the reasons she loves being a Jaguar.

“Westmoore HS is a great place to be a student-athlete because of the high level of play, the
competitiveness and the drive for success in all Westmoore sports. My favorite subject
used to be math, but now it is science because I have loved all my science teachers in high
school, and they make it fun to learn. In college I am planning on majoring in exercise
science, and potentially becoming a physical therapist assistant,” said Daggs.
The senior is a member of National Honor Society as well as a senior class counsel. Daggs
wants the Class of 2024 to be remembered for the culture they have created for the
volleyball team.
“I want to be remembered as the first state champs for the volleyball program. A few
teammates you should definitely look out for this season is Olivia Branum and Sadie
Arnold. Both are very talented young players, who have great potential and very bright
futures in their volleyball careers,” said Daggs. “Having a family within the volleyball team
and being able to come to them with advice, help, or anything is what I love most about this
group of people. They will always be there for me when I need it.”
