Peyton Seber, an 11th-grade student at Midwest City High School, is leaving his mark in the world of cross country and track with his unwavering determination and impressive accomplishments.
Seber embarked on his journey with the cross country and track teams at Midwest City High School, displaying an early affinity for running. Now, as an 11th grader, he not only continues to shine but is also focused on surpassing his own records.
“Breaking my old records is a constant goal for me,” Seber said. “It’s about pushing myself to improve every time I step onto the track.”
However, Seber’s path has not been without challenges. “It’s okay to have bad days; just keep moving forward,” he shared. This has pushed him throughout his time competing.
A critical factor in Seber’s journey has been the support and mentorship of his teachers. “I’ve been fortunate to have many exceptional teachers,” Seber said. “Yet, one teacher stands out among the rest – DJ, he helped me become a better person, and he instilled in me a love for running and demonstrated the value of hard work.”
Seber’s love for running extends beyond personal achievement; he finds fulfillment in the impact he leaves on others around him. “I take pride in knowing I am leaving a positive impact,” he shared. “When someone out there tries harder because of me, it serves as a reminder that I can push myself further too.”
Seber shared an appreciation for his parents, teammates like Jahhim and Jacob, coaches like Coach Smith, and friends like Timothy, Thomas, Brazil, and Jojo, who have been unwavering sources of support throughout his journey.
As Seber continues to break records, inspire his peers, and chase his dreams, it is evident that his passion for running and his unwavering commitment will propel him to even greater heights in the years to come.
