VYPE: You’re the starting quarterback for an undefeated football team. How have you
enjoyed playing at Del City so far?
River Warren: It’s been great, we worked hard in the offseason and I think people are seeing
that on the field.
VYPE: What was the most difficult adjustment in the beginning after moving from
McGuinness?
RW: Leaving all my teammates and coaches at McGuinness was tough for me.
VYPE: What helped get you through that time?
RW: My new teammates and coaches welcoming me in with open arms.
VYPE: What are your goals for this year?
RW: My goals are to get better every game and lead the guys around me.
VYPE: With as well as your team is playing, it seems imminent that your path will have to
go through Carl Albert this postseason. Is that matchup on your mind at all?
RW: We’re just taking it a game at a time, if that ends up happening it should be a good game,
but we’re not really thinking about it right now.
VYPE: We want to hear about your recruiting. What are some of the things you’re
prioritizing in your decision?
RW: I’m prioritizing the coaches, location, and just overall fit for me.
VYPE: Which teammate, past or present, had made the greatest impact in your life, and
why?
RW: My freshman year, Luke Tarman showed me how to handle adversity and play quarterback
at a high level.
VYPE: What are some of your ambitions after college football?
RW: I would like to play in the NFL, and work on creating my own business.
