Lavontae Aldridge is a senior at Norman High School who stands out as a dedicated and
passionate athlete. His journey through high school has been marked by memorable moments,
valuable lessons, and unwavering support.
Aldridge’s dedication to football goes beyond the game itself. He recognizes that it’s not just
about playing the sport, but also about building relationships within the sport to progress, not
only for himself but for others as well. He shared, “It’s not just to play the sport but it’s to build
relationships within the sport to progress better for me and others.”
In his academic journey, Mrs. Lacy Morgan has been a significant influence. Her guidance and
support have undoubtedly contributed to Aldridge’s growth and achievements.
Family plays a crucial role in Aldridge’s life, and his father is a profound source of inspiration.
“My dad is the one who built the man I am today, and because of him, I can keep pushing,” he
shared.
Aldridge also draws inspiration from a teammate, Dax Noles. He admires Dax’s discipline and
the accomplishments achieved, even in the face of adversity, showing that hard work and
dedication can lead to success.
Aldridge’s involvement in football not only allows him to excel but also brings joy and a sense of
community. He reflects on the experience, saying, “I get to bring joy into the environment and
get to experience fun things with others.”
A piece of advice from his grandmother resonates deeply with Aldridge. She imparted wisdom,
saying, “No matter what, keep pushing to become a great man who loves and cherishes.”
