Edmond Players to Watch

BOYS
Dylan Warlick – Edmond North

Dylan is a two-time state tournament MVP, has over 1,000 career points, and was the COAC Player of the Year 2023. Luke Gray and Carson Jones – Oklahoma Christian School Both guys are outstanding athletes that work hard and are always ready to help their team win. They will both look to have solid outings this season. DJ Stephens – Putnam City DJ is a skilled ball-handler and passer with the ability to create for others. He will be a key in his team’s success this season. Elijah Garcia – Crooked Oak Garcia is small but can perform with the best in the state. His basketball IQ, and ability to run the point guard position is second to none.

Trevin Ezell and Tate Campbell – Christian Heritage

Trevin is a three-year varsity starter who averaged 15 points, three rebounds, and three assists last season. He is a very shifty guard that can shoot the ball from three and has a very good pull up jumper off the dribble. This year Trevin is expected to take another big leap in leading the team to a successful season. Tate will be a two-year starter this season.
Last season, he averaged 16 points, four rebounds, and two steals. He is a very athletic guard with range on both ends of the floor. His length allows him to get his hands on balls and can shoot the ball. He attacks and scores at the rim very well.

GIRLS
Keziah Lofton, Zya Vann, Kayten Donley, Talia Vann, and Avery Marchino – Bethany

All five of these girls were in the Vype top 100 last year, when Bethany won their first state title. Keziah Lofton has committed to play at OU. She is a point guard who is ranked nationally as one of the best players for her class. Zya Vann has also committed to play at OU. Zya’s ability to get in gaps and finish with contact is impressive. Her quickness on defense is second to none, as she puts so much pressure on opposing guards it is hard to get by her. Kayten Donley has offers from SNU, Harding, and Wayne State so far. She has a competitor’s heart. Talia Vann is being recruited by numerous D1 schools and has some offers already. Talia has worked very hard to develop her skills.

Avery Marchino has offers so far from Oklahoma Christian, Arkansas Monticello, and Seward County. Every year Avery has taken the right steps to advance her game. Janiyah Williams & Avery Hjelmstad – Edmond Memorial Two outstanding young ladies with great competitive drive. They are not afraid to put in the hard work so they can be at their best when they step out on the court. Tennyson Portman – Heritage Hall Lainey is one of the best and most influential leaders on the team. She is a senior this year and has been a starter since her freshman season. Her work ethic, leadership, and basketball IQ is unmatched. Kasia Hansen – Jones
Kasia has played a key role on the last two State Championship teams. She has either started or has come off the bench in every game. She averaged just over 10 points last year and is expected to be a key player on this year’s team. Kasia can do it all; pass, shoot, and handle the ball.
