McLoud’s Gracie Little – FFA Spotlight – Presented by Ok AgCredit

Gracie Little is a junior at McLoud High School where she is the manager of the boy’s basketball team and a member of the FFA chapter. Little said she got involved in FFA after spending several years in 4H.

“I’ve been involved in FFA since my freshman year of high school, but I’ve been in 4H since 3rd grade. My mom and dad were in FFA when they were kids and decided to start me in 4H young and I just continued through high school,” said Little.

For the junior, there are many reasons why she enjoys being in FFA and one big reason is the people.

“I’ve made so many friendships through FFA and its taught me so many valuable leadership qualities. I’m currently the President of our chapter and I’m in our Agriculture Communications class,” said Little.

For nine years Little has shown swine and continues to raise her animals and compete with FFA while serving as a member of the student council at McLoud. Little said anyone interested in FFA should give it a try.

“My advice if you were considering joining the FFA, make the most of it. Go to the camps and conferences. I will always cherish my memories and friendships made through FFA,” said Little.

The support Little receives is a big reason for her success and one person she leans on the most is her mother.

“My mom is the biggest influence in my life she understands me, listens to me, and most importantly she believes in me no matter what. My mom’s support has helped me mold into the woman I am now,” said Little. After high school Little plans to pursue a degree in ag business in college.
