Titan tennis player and swimmer, Jackson Bales, made the decision to join the tennis team while in middle school thanks to the encouragement of coach Mays.
Now a member of the varsity tennis team at Carl Albert HS, Bales said he enjoys improving and playing where the team needs him most.
“I enjoy getting better each time I play the most. I have played every position this year, so we’ll just have to see what I play later on at regionals and state,” said Bales.
The senior said he has improved his groundstrokes the most this season, but points to his teammates as players everyone should watch.
“Jake Farley and Luke Foquette are two players everyone should watch this season,” said Bales.
As for the future, Bales said he is taking it one day at a time and will make a decision after he graduates. One thing he will take with him are some great memories as a student-athlete at CAHS.
“Getting to the state finals and first ever state runner up as a team my freshman year is my favorite memory. Not sure on what my future holds for me after high school, but in my free time I enjoy playing tennis and hanging out with friends,” said Bales.
