Can Carl Albert continue to keep up the championship pace?
Carl Albert High School has become a pipeline for the University of Oklahoma. Every season the Titans field one or two of the best players in the state as seniors. Coach Mike Dunn will enter spring ball with several players looking to follow that pipeline to Norman.
Kevin Sperry will enter his senior season as the teams QB after an excellent performance in the state championship game against Del City. Sperry is a 6-foot-1 quarterback who wants to prove he can sling the ball downfield.
Xavier Robinson is taking his talents to OU after earning Mr. Football Oklahoma honors and being one of the best players in the state for two seasons. His replacement could be one of several players looking to land the RB job. The list of RBs includes Caden Davis (Sr.), Amaurie Rusler (Jr.), Michael Lenz (Jr.), Delijah Matthews (So.), and Darion Thomas (So.).
Defensively the Titans will look to secondary star Trynae Washington for big plays against opposing QBs. Washington could have a big impact in the offensive side of the ball as well. Washington is an OU commit and one of the top prospects in Oklahoma for the class of 2025.
Marcus James has committed to OU as well. The standout linebacker is another key player in the Titan defense. He has the athleticism to play tight end, but his impact will be at linebacker. At 6-foot-4, 220-pounds, OU is excited to get him on campus after the 2024 season.
