Easton Perkins
Carl Albert High School
Carl Albert High School senior Easton Perkins is a member of the varsity baseball team. The month of March was very good to the Titans as they outscored opponents 124-25 with five shutouts. Perkins said the team is poised for to defend their state title from last season.
“The team is looking really solid, but we are going to have to work harder to get to where we want to go,” said Perkins.
Being a student-athlete at Carl Albert HS comes with some big responsibilities. It’s a challenge that Perkins and his teammates embrace.
“What I love most about being a student-athlete at Carl Albert is the tradition and the standard that everyone upholds at the school,” said Perkins.
Perkins said he could play multiple positions this season depending on what the team needs and that all of his teammates are willing to do whatever it takes to help the team win.
“I play first base, outfield and I also pitch. I love the dedication out of all of them, they are some of the hardest working guys. Easton Harless is a guy you want to look at. He is our catcher, and he is one of our best defensive players,” said Perkins.
The senior continues to work on his game and improve in areas that will help the team win and help Perkins find a team at the next level.
“My strengths in the game are my defense and my baseball IQ. I’ve worked on my hitting. I’m starting to hit the ball harder and more consistently. After I graduate, I hope to play baseball at college while getting a business degree,” said Perkins. Aside from baseball, Perkins said he attends leadership class, is involved in STUCO, and FCA. Away from the field, Perkins enjoys fishing and working out with friends.
