9 Questions with Soccer Player Jenna Munson – Presented by Premier Healthcare

VYPE: Jenna, what was this soccer season like for you as you take a look back?

Munson: For me, the season has been very rewarding. I get to play a sport I love with my best friends while challenging each other to get better. Whether it’s practice, bus rides, or during games, I enjoy being with my teammates. This season I played forward and a little bit of attacking mid.

VYPE: Where do you feel you most improved your game?

Munson: I feel a lot more comfortable playing up top and have made an effort to time my runs better. With well timed runs, I’m able to create more chances and more space for my teammates.

VYPE: What do you love most about your teammates at WHS?

Munson: What I love most about my teammates is how strong our bond is and how everyone puts the team first. The team lifts each other up and always brings a positive energy.

VYPE: Do you have a favorite moment from this season?

Munson: My favorite moment from this season was scoring a hat trick along with an assist in our 7-1 Moore War win. It’s always great to pick up a victory against a rivalry team.

VYPE: What grade are you in next season and how long have you played soccer?

Munson: I’m a junior next year and I’ve played soccer since I was four years old.

VYPE: Do you belong to any clubs or groups at school?

Munson: Yes, I am a member of National Honors Society and Fellowship of Christian Athletes.

VYPE: You have some time, but what would you like to do after you graduate?

Munson: After I graduate, I hope to find a college where I can continue my soccer career and also pursue a degree in the medical field.

VYPE: What will the soccer team look like next season?

Munson: We are one of the youngest teams. Having another year of maturity and experience, I think we have big things coming for us in our future. We had a strong finish to the season, so I hope we carry it into next year.

VYPE: What’s your message to your teammates and coaches?

Munson: My message for my coaches would be that I’ve learned a lot and I am so grateful to have such an awesome coaching staff. To my teammates, thank you for an amazing season. Each one of you has impacted me and I look forward to a great season with you all next year.
