Tuttle’s Ella Mitchell – Athlete Spotlight – Presented By Patriot Heat and Air

Pressure is Privilege…these three words are a daily source of inspiration for Ella Mitchell, a senior at Tuttle High School.

“As a cheerleader at Tuttle, there’s a legacy of success and an expectation of excellence on and off the competitive field,” Mitchell admits noting the school’s 17 cheerleading state championship titles. “Me and for my teammates feed off the pressure and make it fun. I love the fact that people know who we are and that all of us cherish the responsibility to perform at a championship level.”

According to Mitchell, the secret for the cheer program is their all-for-one dedication.

“I’m a family person, someone that likes the family type atmosphere like we’ve developed in our cheer program.” A “serving others” approach is something that Mitchell has proven through her philanthropic efforts as a member of the Student Council the past two years.

“The Turkey Bowl is a powder-puff football event where the entry fees, t-shirts, ticket sales and concessions helped to raise more than $7500 the last two years,” she said with a voice of compassion. “We were we able to provide food baskets for 35 local
families this year plus we were able to provide dog food to the local animal shelter.”

When asked to choose three words to describe herself, Ella didn’t hesitate. “Creative, outgoing and most importantly, caring. I just like being there to help others in their time of need.”

The 2023 Tuttle senior owns a 4.05 GPA resulting from success in math classes, her favorite subject. Mitchell credits the influence of others for her desire to do things right.

“Coach (Autumn) Garza has been a big influence in my life,” she said. “The last six years, we’ve developed a close bond. She has taught me by her example the importance of being a respectful, obedient person and how to lead in a positive way
as a cheerleader and in life.”

By making the best of any opportunity, the results speak for themselves that Ella Mitchell truly embraces the spirit of the Tuttle Tigers through her efforts to help others with a desire to always find a better way.
