Yukon Millers Girls Basketball Preview – Presented By Roger Karns Shelter Insurance

Coach: Roy Wyckoff
21-22 Record: 9-14

Entering his sixth season and at the helm of the Yukon Lady Millers basketball program, Roy Wyckoff likes the position his team is in coming into the season. “We return five of the top six minute-getters from last season. We are excited about some of our new, young players and the improvement of our returners. This team has a great energy and work ethic. Looking to build off back-to-back Area Tournament appearances in 2021 and, 2022,” said coach Wyckoff. Gabby Tilley (5-7, Jr.) returns after scorning an average of 12.3 points with 4.2 rebounds and 2.4 assists per game as a sophomore. Tilley has started since her freshman season and was All Conference last season. Avery Sims (5-8, Sr.) is a combo player who is comfortable playing guard or forward. Sims averaged 4.2 points and 1.7 rebounds a year ago.

Caid Jefferson (5-4, Jr.) is a quick guard who can shoot and play defense. Jefferson accounted for 6.4 points, 5.5 rebounds and 3.2 steals. Kylie Warren (5-9, So.) managed 4.9 points, 4.6 rebounds and 1.1 steals as a freshman. This could be a breakout season for Warren. Mady Richards (5-2, Jr.) is another athletic guard on the Lady Millers roster. Richards hit 4.3 points and grabbed 2.1 rebounds as a sophomore. Other players to watch include Kenlea Jefferson (5-1, Fr.), Ashlynn Smith (6-0, Fr.), Rena Henson (5-6, Sr.), Ruby Barker (5-5, Sr.), Trinity Little (5-4, Sr.), Kalli Harbeson (5-6, So.), Rylee LaRue (5-10, So.), Addison Pivniska (6-0, So.), and Ashley Cox (5-8, So.).
