9 Questions with Deer Creek’s Bryson Rouse – Presented By Community Builders

VYPE: When and how did you first get into playing your sport?

Bryson: I played on a baseball team when I was five years old and little league didn’t start until six years old, so some of the parents from our baseball team formed a football team and entered us in a league an age group older than what we were.

VYPE: Who inspires you and why?

Bryson: My mom and my dad inspire me in a variety of ways. They are great, successful people who always put others before themselves.

VYPE: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you and why?

Bryson: Berkley Dalton. We’ve shared the field together since the beginning of our football careers and we’ve always had each other’s backs no matter what.

VYPE: Why are you passionate about your sport?

Bryson: I have a very competitive nature and football pushes me to be my best in order to win.

VYPE: What is your favorite part about being on a team?

Bryson: My favorite part of being on a team is the trust and brotherhood that’s built by working hard and going to battle with my teammates.

VYPE: What has your sport taught you that you use in your daily life?

Bryson: Football has taught me hard work and dedication. But mostly that you can’t do everything by yourself.

VYPE: You can pick any place for a summer vacation, where do you go and who do you take with you?

Bryson: I would probably travel to the Bahamas. I would take any one of my best friends from my team and we would have a blast.

VYPE: What is your all-time favorite meal?

Bryson: Mississippi pot roast.

VYPE: Here is your chance to give a shoutout or say thank you to anyone you wish.

Bryson: I would like to give all the glory to God. He’s kept me safe and on the field throughout my whole career. Without him I am nothing. Also, my family got me to every practice, and every game, and showed up to everything in support of me and my team. Thank you to my coaches from little league all the way up to high school. They have taught me all I know about football and many lessons shaping me into a better person. Lastly, thank you to my teammates for pushing me to be better in every situation and for always believing in me and having my back.
