Santa Fe’s Brash Enjoying Last Year of FFA & Soccer

In his final year, Edmond Santa Fe’s Dakota Brash is enjoying every minute before he turns the page on another chapter in his life.

Brash joined the FFA chapter during his junior year. A late start by most accounts, Brash said the environment and the people make it a great organization.

“One of my best friends convinced me to join with him. The thing I enjoy most about FFA is the environment. I love surrounding myself with people that want to pursue a similar career path,” said Brash.

Despite not showing livestock, Brash said he is involved in the welding class and attends the events for FFA.  The senior said anyone interested in FFA should give it a try.

“Just join! There are so many different paths through FFA. It’s a great way to meet new people and make some of your closest friends,” said Brash.

Brash plays varsity soccer for the Wolves and said he loves being part of the team and competing with his friends.

“The thing I love most about being on the soccer team is getting to play soccer with some of my best friends. We are truly like a family at Santa Fe and couldn’t ask for a better environment,” said Brash.

One of the biggest influences in his life has been his mother.

“She is the hardest worker I know and will not rest until all four of her kids are taken care of. She has taught me so much and has always been my biggest supporter,” said Brash.

Brash has little free time. Most of his time is spent with school activities or running the lawn business he started.

“I own a lawn care company and would want to scale that out of high school. I would also like to pursue a career in welding and real estate,” said Brash.
