VYPE MAGAZINE ANNOUNCES THE 2023-24 SHELTER INSURANCE MISS WRESTLING AWARD WINNER: BELLA WILLIAMS FROM EDMOND NORTH

The Shelter Insurance Miss Wrestling Oklahoma Award recognizes the outstanding athletic achievements of Bella Williams and the high standards of athletic excellence and exemplary character demonstrated on the mat, which distinguishes Williams as Oklahoma’s best high school female wrestler this season.

Williams finished the season strong, winning the state title at 140-pounds. The win marked the third state title for Williams during her high school career. This season Williams finished with a perfect 34-0 record. Only a junior, Williams will be a favorite to become a four-time state champion next season. Williams also helped the team to a runner-up finish at state.

VYPE Magazine Editorial Director Brad Heath said of Williams, “It’s not easy being perfect, but Williams dominated the competition this season. What she has done on the wrestling mat is a credit to her passion for the sport, the desire to win and to the Edmond North wrestling program.”

Williams joins former Miss Wrestling award winners: Olivia Brown-Broken Arrow (2020), Ki’Eisha Cathey-Broken Arrow (2021), and Peyton Hand-Choctaw (2022).

Congratulations to Bella Williams of Edmond North on being named the 2023-24 Miss Wrestling Oklahoma.
