Hi, what are you looking for?

Choctaw

9 Qs with Choctaw’s Brooke Curry – Presented by Landers Dodge Jeep Ram of Norman

??????????

VYPE: What has your sport taught you that you use in your daily life?

Brooke: It has taught me about consistency and if you show up everyday results will follow.

VYPE: What is your favorite part about being on a team?

Brooke: Teammates are there to hold each other accountable and the team atmosphere gives you a greater passion and purpose than just playing and representing yourself.

VYPE: When and how did you first get into playing your sport?

Brooke: I have always played basketball since I could walk because my dad had coached my older siblings, but I started playing softball as something to fill my fall sport time in middle school and ended up loving it.

VYPE: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you and why?

Brooke: Carley Gasaway, she was always a true leader verbally but mostly by example. She was the first one to hold you accountable but the first one to encourage.

VYPE: Who inspires you and why?

Brooke: My grandma, Momo. She has battled through so much adversity with cancer and stays faithful no matter what a prognosis says. She is still currently fighting brain cancer but is still positive and a light to others.

VYPE: Why are you passionate about your sport?

Brooke: I’m passionate about everything I love and I truly love every ounce of playing athletics. Competing is something that I enjoy doing because I know one day it won’t always be there

VYPE: Are you involved in any other activities?

Brooke: FCA, NHS, Girl of the Month, Student Council Vice President

VYPE: What is your favorite part about representing your high school as an athlete?

Brooke: I have grown up in Choctaw and it’s special to be able to play for a town that upholds loyalty within. I’m a third generation choctaw athlete and so playing for choctaw athletics has always been a goal and something to look forward to.

VYPE: Here is your chance to give a shoutout or say thank you to anyone you wish.

Brooke: Thank you to my teammates for making the game truly something I love and always keeping me accountable to be the best version of myself I can be for the team.
