VYPE: What has your sport taught you that you use in your daily life?

Hayden: It has taught me that you will never regret working hard and persevering during difficult times.

VYPE: What is the best advice that anyone has given you?

Hayden: Hard work beats talent, when talent fails to work hard.

VYPE: What is your favorite part about being on a team?  

Hayden: Getting to learn from my teammates, and the bond that comes from helping others to grow and them helping me grow

VYPE: What has been your favorite memory of playing?

Hayden: My favorite memory is playing for my dad when I was younger. He was a great coach.

VYPE: Who is your favorite teacher from any grade and why?

Hayden: Mr. Brad Copeland was my favorite. He is a man who gets the respect of his student and was always enjoyable to be around because he made you feel respected. He was so humble yet incredibly smart and able to teach difficult subjects. He really took time to invest in us and be a good role model.

VYPE: Who inspires you and why? 

Hayden: My parents. They work very hard and have set a fantastic example for me, and I will strive to be like them when I have children of my own.

VYPE: Why are you passionate about your sport? 

Hayden: I’m passionate about it because it’s something I’ve worked hard at my whole life and there are things that I wish to accomplish that I have not done yet. There are goals that I haven’t met yet: winning a state championship.

VYPE: What is your favorite part about representing your high school as an athlete?

Hayden: Getting to win games and celebrate with my team in front of our home crowd is awesome.

Hayden: I am thankful for my family and my coaches who have invested a lot to make me the player I am today.
