Senior Karyan Daggs is a member of the varsity cheer squad and she’s excited for the new
season to get underway. For Daggs, being a student-athlete at Carl Albert is about
representing the school and doing their best whether on the sideline or in competition.
“Carl Albert is great place to be for sports. We stick together, cheer each other on in events
and we do really well with the help of our coaches,” said Daggs.
Cheer has always been the favorite sport of the senior and now in her final year of high
school, Daggs said she wants to make it the best year of her career.
“Cheer has been my only sport that I have done full time and I absolutely love it. The girls
and the competitions are definitely my favorite. I love the team building and being the best
at what we do,” said Daggs.

Daggs said everyone should look for several of her teammates this season who are doing
great in practice leading up to the start of the season.
“Keep an eye one Britney West, Addie Gentry, Gracie Kelly, and Devin Wallace,” said Daggs.
In the classroom, Daggs said her favorite subject is art and her favorite teacher is coach
Mosher. Next year Daggs hopes to attend college where she will study interior design and
decorating.
