Carl Albert’s Easton Harless Athlete Spotlight Presented by Mike Muecke State Farm

Easton Harless

Carl Albert High School

We ask a lot from our high school athletes these days. From schoolwork to training, practice and games, prep sports havebecome fulltime jobs for players wanting to make it to the next level.

Carl Albert’s Easton Harless is a senior this season and varsity baseball player for the Titans. He started playing baseball when he was only three years old. The catcher/outfielder is one of many prep athletes trying to make it to the next level.

“As of right now I am planning on going to college to get a four-year degree. I’m not sure if I will have an athletic college career yet, but I know that it is all in the Lord’s hands,” said Harless.

His future may not be entirely in focus yet, but Harless continues to work hard and push himself to be a great ballplayer for the Titans.

“I worked on my swing quite a bit in the offseason. Just messing with some little things. It has been a process, but I would say that I have intentionally been trying to improve my swing the most,” said Harless.

If it’s extracurricular activities a recruiter wants to see, Harless has it in spades.

“Along with the baseball team, I am also a part of the football team, FCA, Leadership, STUCO, 4.0 Club, National Honor Society, and a valedictorian,” said Harless.

Discussing his likes and where he wants to go to college is one thing, but what Harless really wants to talk about are his teammates.

“We share a bond that is uncommon. I have been playing with most of these guys since at least middle school, some of them even before then. So, I would say the bond that we share and love that we have for each other is my favorite thing,” said Harless. “We obviously have our guys like Sam Gonzalez, Hutch Russell, and Tanner Norman, who are our big hitters, who have been guys who over the past four years have been a really big part of our team. Some guys like Easton Perkins and Mister Randall are guys that come to my mind. They are going to do anything that a coach asks them and at maximum effort. Then of course we have our big arms with Kash Ferris, Declan Murphy, and Sam Gonzalez. These are guys that we know are going to go up on the bump and dominate for us. It makes it easier for us as a defense and a team in general to have guys like this up there. And we even have some younger guys that have done a really good job at stepping up and helping out with the varsity.”
