In the midst of chaos Rylee Reese always remembers to encourage and cheer for
others on the court. Rylee thanks the years she spent playing volleyball and tennis
for this valuable lesson.
As a senior at Carl Albert High School, Rylee sets the example of how she wants
others to see her school. “I hope that I’ve always been intentionally kind and
encouraging, funny and loving to everyone I play against, all the referees and
officials, and all the spectators around me.
“My favorite part of being on a team is getting to spend so much time with so many
uniquely different, hilarious, and special girls! They lighten up my mood and make
me smile and laugh so much. I love the way everybody absolutely has to work
together as a unit and as a family to succeed. It requires so much effort and
discipline, encouragement and skill to function together as a TEAM not just as an
individual,” said Rylee.
She thanks Jimmy Tribble for seeing something special in her. “He has some sort of
crazy gift from God and sees the absolute best in everyone he meets and I’m so
thankful to have gotten to experience that! Thanks for never going easy on me
Coach Jimmy!”
Many of Rylee’s favorite high school memories happened on the volleyball court.
Playing Piedmont at State last year with her family and friends cheering in the
stands is one she will never forget.
Time spent in Ag class and FFA also rank high. Her favorite teacher is Mr. Little.
“He’s always seeking to create the best experiences for us and he never fails to
check in on how I’m doing. I can always expect the classic question, ‘So how is
everything?’ and every time it’s such a comforting and generous gesture that makes
me feel seen and valued. Plus, FFA is the best class ever!” exclaims Rylee.
Mom and Dad are her inspirations. “I’ve always been so amazed and in love with the
example that they are to me simply by the way they live and the way they love each
other. They’ve shown me the joy in the simple things and how simple life can be, full
of joy, and abundant with love!”
Former teammates Jayna Allard and Brylee Toney influenced Rylee. “Even when we
were sitting the bench, hanging out with them kept me smiling the whole time and
really made the season 100 times more special and fun!”
Rylee is active in FFA, NHS, Spirit Club and helps the special ed classes, youth
group, and the Choctaw Round-Up Club.
