Carl Albert senior Reed DeQuasie has been named an All-State safety by the Oklahoma Coaches Association.
The 2023 OCA All-State game is slated for 7 p.m. Friday, July 28. The OCA has not announced a venue. DeQuasie will compete for the West team and will join Carl Albert teammate and fellow 5A state champion Ta’Shawn James in the secondary.
DeQuasie was also listed as a 5A West All-Star at quarterback. The senior and defending state champion pledged to play at the University of Oklahoma last Thursday.
“He’s (DeQuasie) one of the best overall athletes in Oklahoma,” Carl Albert coach Mike Dunn told VYPE before the season.
