Kyree Tucker
Del City High School
Del City High School track has a long tradition of being a program with excellent talent and athletes who love to compete. Del City’s Kyree Tucker is made from that same mold. Tucker started running in elementary school and is now a member of the varsity track team.
“I started running track in elementary. This is my first season in high school, and I run the 400-meters and the 4×400 relay,” said Tucker. “What I like most is the team I have by my side and the coaches; they want me to do my best and work hard.”
Also a cross country runner, Tucker has shown he has good speed that translates to both disciplines. His goal is to compete at the next level.
“I want to go to college and run track there as well,” said Tucker.
He looks to his father for guidance and said he is the biggest influence in his life.
“My dad he has always been there for me and also helped me with pretty much everything,” said Tucker. The young man has a bright future ahead and said if he could model his running and career after another athlete, it would be Noah Lyles.
