Aden Henke – Luther High School – Football

M. Howell

Aden Henke has sports to thank for his discipline and says it taught him the right way to face adversity. “Holding yourself accountable” is important to him and Aden embodies that as much as he can working towards achieving his goals in both sports and academics. This Junior is a football player from Luther High School who also plays baseball, basketball, and does power lifting. Even though he is always busy with sports, Aden also manages to be an incredible student and excels in the classroom. He is most proud of being named the Student Athlete of the Week for KFOR because he knows that keeping that balance between sports and education can be difficult, so he strives to do that while keeping a positive attitude.

His favorite piece of advice came from Coach Rob who told him “…to find the good in everything. Never look for an excuse or a way out, always look for the way in.” This taught him to look outside the box when problem solving and has been beneficial in more than just sports. Aden notes that he has been blessed with many teachers throughout his educational experience and says he can’t really single any one teacher out as favorite, but instead would like to thank all of them for each of their contributions. He appreciates teachers who are helpful and show a positive, generous attitude in their classrooms and enjoys being able to learn in those environments. Aden credits his parents for having influenced him throughout his life as well. “They gave me every opportunity to be where I’m at today and I appreciate them very much.” With a positive attitude and great work ethic, Aden Henke is a student athlete to keep your eye on!
