Kenneth Colston
Midwest City High School
Kenneth Colston was in the seventh grade when he started playing baseball. It didn’t take long for him to find his way around the diamond and work his way into the pitching rotation.
“I don’t have a set position, but I stay in the infield, and I pitch. I also play football,” said Colston.
Colston said he loves being around his teammates and competing with them as they represent the Bombers. Several teammates have made an impression on him and the MWC faithful.
“Terrance Rideau, kid is only a freshman and is a very good player with a bright future. The funniest person I know on the team on Brandon Dixon. Whenever we’re down he’ll find a way to cheer everyone up and the most serious has to be James Washburn,” said Colston. “Another player to watch is Lincoln King.”
Close to his family, Colston said his mother and siblings are his biggest supporters.
“My mother and my siblings are the biggest influences in my life. I know even in hard times I have someone who wouldn’t turn their back on me and will help me no matter what,” said Colston.
When Colston’s prep career comes to an end, he plans to take his talents to the next level.
“After High school I’m going to Baker University where I am committed and signed to play football and get my degree in Physical Education,” said Colston.
Away from school and sports, Colston said most of his time is spent with his animals.
“I enjoy riding my horses and going to rodeos to participate in the pony express races all spring and summer long,” said Colston.
