Jentry Holbrook

Jones High School

Jones girls basketball is one of the top ranked teams in Class 3A. We convinced one of the players, Jentry Holbrook, to take a quick break and answer this edition of 9 Questions.

VYPE: Jentry, thank you for doing this. What grade are you in this year and what position do you play?

Holbrook: I’m in the 10th grade and I play shooting guard.

VYPE: The team is off to a nice start this season and is ranked in the top five in Class 3A. How is the team coming together?

Holbrook: The team is great together. We hype each other up on the court and play as one.

VYPE: What’s your goal this season?

Holbrook: My goal is to get stronger in the weight room.

VYPE: What part of your game have you improved since last season?

Holbrook: I feel like my overall knowledge on basketball has grown since I’ve gotten new experiences.

VYPE: What do you love most about your team and teammates at Jones HS?

Holbrook: They really push me to be my best and encourage me through highs and lows. I love the encouragement of my teammates and coaches on and off the court.

VYPE: What is your favorite subject in school? Do you have a favorite teacher?

Holbrook: My favorite subject is Algebra 2 and my favorite teacher is Mrs. Purvis who teaches sophomore biology.

VYPE: Do you belong to any clubs or groups at school?

Holbrook: Math Honors Society.

VYPE: You’re a big math fan, do you know what you would like to do after you graduate?

Holbrook: After I graduate, I want to attend college, but I’m not sure on what I want to do yet.

VYPE: What do you enjoy doing when you have some free time? Holbrook: I enjoy hanging out with friends and family.
