VYPE: What are your personal goals for the year?
My personal goal for the year is to become a better me on and off the court. Work on being consistent in the game and to become a better teammate.
VYPE: What is your favorite athletic memory?
My favorite athletic memory is playing basketball since I was in kindergarten.
VYPE: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you and why?
The teammate who’s left the biggest impression on me is Mya Brown. Even though she graduated she still comes to our games to support us. When she comes back home from college she makes sure she’s always in the gym and even asks me to go with her.
VYPE: What is your favorite part of being on this team?
My favorite part about being a bomber is the girls, not only are they my teammates but they’re my sisters and I’m always going to rock with them no matter what. It’s like a sister bond that nobody can break.
VYPE: Do you participate in any community service projects?
I participate in going out and feeding the homeless with my mother and my church.
VYPE: What has your sport taught you that you use in your daily life?
Basketball has taught me to cherish every moment of your life because it can all be taken from you in an instant. It has also taught me to become patient with myself.
VYPE: What is the best advice that anyone has given you?
The best advice anyone has given me is that If i want it i have to go get it, i can’t sit around and wait because there’s others around me that’s hungry too.
VYPE: Who inspires you and why?
Coach DBC inspires me a lot because he knows how to bring me up when I’m feeling low. He also gives good advice.
VYPE: Here is your chance to give a shoutout or say thank you to anyone you wish.
I want to shout out my Mom (Lena) and my grandma (Josie) because no matter who’s against they’re always gonna be on my side. They provide for me and make everything happen for me. I also want to thank Coach Banks for taking me in as one of his kids. I want to thank Coach Maloy for being the best highschool coach I could ask for and being a 2nd mom and helping hand when needed. I love you and coach McFeeters both.
