Coach: Kayla Fourkiller
22-23 Record: 2-12Fourkiller’s best players are a year older and a year sharper a year removed from a 2-12 campaign. “We are a young team this season with having one senior, Kenzi Shipman (5-4, Sr.), and one junior, Kaydence Pettit, which both veteran players have a lot of game-time experience,” head coach Kayla Fourkiller said. “Our young players have a lot of potential, and we are looking forward to seeing them find their roles and making positive contributions to the team. They have blossomed over the summer and offseason. [I’m] excited to see how they gel as a team throughout
the season.” Pettit (5-5, Jr.), a guard has filled a starting role for the SaberCats since she was a freshman. “Kaydence is a very talented guard with the ability to shoot the 3 well,” Fourkiller said. “Kaydence can get to the basket off the dribble either finishing at the basket or fishing to a teammate. She is also a floor general and a team leader.” Fourkiller will need contributions from both Addison Uzzi (5-4, Fr.) and Saniya Bonds (6-0, Fr.) in their debut seasons. “Addison Uzzi is a very talented freshman point guard who can see the floor extremely well and get to the bucket. She can also be an outside threat. Addison is very quick an aggressive defender as well.”
