9 Qs with Moore Wrestler Axton Wright – Presented By RibCrib

VYPE: What we’re your goals for the season? How are those coming ?

Axton: My goals for this season are to get back into the groove of wrestling again because of my acl surgery and I want to qualify for state. I’m getting more used to wrestling everyday and I feel like I’m doing a little better each day so I think my goals are going pretty well.

VYPE: What has your sport taught you that you use in your daily life?

Axton: my sport has taught me that it’s the little things in life that will help you and that you should get 1% better everyday.

VYPE: Who is your favorite teacher from any grade and why?

Axton: My favorite teacher ever was Mrs Van from my 9th grade honors English class because I feel like she was actually a good teacher and I learned.

VYPE: Who inspires you and why?

Axton: Payton Thomas inspires me because he’s a very good wrestler and will help and teach to make people better.

VYPE: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you and why?

Axton: My teammate Topher had left a pretty big impression on me because he is a very technical wrestler and I watch him wrestle to try to learn from what he does.

VYPE: what has been your biggest obstacle in your athletic career and how did you
overcome it?

Axton: The biggest obstacle is the acl surgery I had that had me out of wrestling for six months in overcoming it by wrestling everyday and trying to get conditioned again.

VYPE: You can pick any place for a summer vacation, where do you go and who do you take with you?

Axton: If I could pick any place for a summer vacation I would pick Hawaii and I’d bring my girlfriend and family.

VYPE: What do you love about your sport?

Axton: What I love about my sport is that I can’t blame a loss or a win on anyone else
because it’s my fault if I’m not paying attention or did something wrong in a match.

VYPE: Here is your chance to say hello, goodbye or thank you to anyone you wish.

Axton: I just wanna say thanks to all of my coaches even the ones from little league like coach jackson because they’ve helped me grow tremendously.
