Moore/Norman

9 Qs with Norman linebacker Behr Boyd — Presented by Hyundai of Norman

VYPE: How did your football journey begin? How old were you?
Behr Boyd: Fourth grade, so I was probably 10.

VYPE: Why do you think you gravitated towards football versus other sports?
BB: I gravitated towards football because I always found it more fun and entertaining than other sports and it kinda stuck.

VYPE: Did you always play linebacker? Did you ever want to play other positions?
BB: I’ve played linebacker since I started and I never really wanted to play another position.

VYPE: Do you want to play in college? If so, what are you looking for in a university?
BB: I would love to play in college. And I’m just looking for a university that wants me.

VYPE: Has this season played out how you expected? If not, how so?
BB: This season has been great. It started out rough with 3 losses but we came together as a team and we are now 3-2 in district

VYPE: What have you learned about yourself this year?
BB: This year I’ve learned that I need to put faith in God because without him none of this would even be possible.

VYPE: You’re a linebacker who runs the 4×100. Do you consider speed to be an important part of your game?
BB: Having speed really helps at the linebacker position and makes me different from most other linebackers, and having speed really helps me get to the ball faster than most.

VYPE: What’s your favorite color?
BB: My favorite color is yellow.

VYPE: What’s something a coach or teacher has told you that stuck with you?
BB: Something a coach has told me is give everything no matter what it is, 100% effort.
