Hi, what are you looking for?

Moore/Norman

9 Qs with Southmoore baseball player Kasen Rinehart – Presented by Community Builders

VYPE: When and how did you first get into playing your sport?

Kasen: When I was about two, I started hitting off the tee and playing catcher. When my parents would set up the tee and I could hold my bat right and hit it.

VYPE: What is your favorite part about being on a team?

Kasen: I love that you don’t have to do everything on your own, and have a great group of guys behind you.

VYPE: What has your sport taught you that you use in your daily life?

Kasen: Teamwork, work ethic, sportsmanship, and perseverance.

VYPE: Why are you passionate about your sport?

Kasen: I was practically born on the field. I grew up watching my dad, brother, and sister play all their sports and it drove me.

VYPE: What is your favorite part about representing your high school as an athlete?

Kasen: Getting to represent my school, the student section the town behind you, the hype, and the energy before a game. I also like the fellowship and unity of coming together as one body.

VYPE: You can pick any place for a summer vacation, where do you go and who do you take with you?

Kasen: I would go to the beach in Cozumel. I would take my family and my close friends.

VYPE: What is your all-time favorite meal?

Kasen: My restaurant is Chick-fil-A.

VYPE: What is the best advice that anyone has given you?

Kasen: It would be a quote by Bob Feller. “Every day is a new opportunity. You can build on yesterday’s success or put its values behind it and start over again. That’s the way life is with a new game every day and that’s the way baseball is.”

VYPE: Here is your chance to give a shoutout or say thank you to anyone you wish.

Kasen: I wanna first give thanks to God for everything He’s done for me. Next, my parents for all the privates and things they’ve taught me. Last, to all the coaches that I have had the privilege of playing for.
