Hi, what are you looking for?

Moore/Norman

9 Qs with Westmoore softball player Adelaide Haack – Presented by Christian Brothers

VYPE: When and how did you first get into playing your sport?
Adelaide: I first started playing softball when I was 8 years old. I started playing when my sister brought home a flyer for a local 8U rec ball league and I’ve loved the game ever since.

VYPE: Why are you passionate about your sport?
Adelaide: I’m passionate about my sport because it allows me to forget about my worries and let loose.

VYPE: What has your sport taught you that you use in your daily life?
Adelaide: Softball has taught me that failure is a part of life and that if I make a mistake I should learn from it and use it to get better.

VYPE: What is your favorite part about being on a team?
Adelaide: My favorite part about being on a team is that I’m surrounded by talented
athletes that push me to get better every day.

VYPE: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you and why?
Adelaide: The teammate that has left the biggest impression on me would be Brooklyn Knight. She’s always willing to put the team above herself. She never complains and always has a positive attitude no matter the situation.

VYPE: What has been your favorite memory of playing?
Adelaide: My favorite memory of playing is striking out the last batter of regionals to
advance to state my Sophomore year.
VYPE: Who inspires you and why?
Adelaide: My Sister inspires me because she’s one of the hardest-working and most
selfless people I know. She’s always willing to help me out whether that’s helping me with homework or filming me pitching or hitting.

VYPE: Who is your favorite teacher from any grade and why?
Adelaide: My all-time favorite teacher would have to be my first-grade teacher, Ms. Keck. She made learning so much fun and taught me not to get down on myself if I got frustrated with a problem.

VYPE: Here is your chance to give a shoutout or say thank you to anyone you wish.
Adelaide: I want to thank my parents for the endless amount of time and energy they’ve put into me. I especially want to thank my dad for being the best catcher I’ve ever had and my mom for the motivational speeches. In addition, I want to thank all my high school coaches, past and present, for believing in me and making me a better softball player, but more importantly a better person. Lastly, I want to thank all my teammates for always being there for me on and off the field.
