VYPE: Natalie, when did you get involved in cross country?
Natalie Pratt: I first got involved with cross country in 6th grade at Whitter. That was the year of COVID, and school started back only two days a week in person, so I thought it was a good way to be involved in things at school. I also used it as a way to stay conditioned for soccer.
VYPE: What grade are you in this year?
NP: I am now in the 10th grade at Norman North.
VYPE: What event have you enjoyed this most this season?
NP: My favorite meet so far this season was Westmoore. I love the course, all of my friends went to watch, and I set a personal record!
VYPE: What do you love most about your team and teammates?
NP: The thing I love the most about my teammates is how funny they are. No matter how hard the workout is we still get through it by laughing together.
VYPE: Where have you made the biggest improvements this season?
NP: I think my biggest improvement this year has been my mindset. I still get nervous for races, but I used to be nervous for days before my race. Now it’s just morning of jitters.
VYPE: Do you have a favorite class or teacher at NNHS?
NP: My favorite class at NNHS is DEN! This is North’s Student Council. We are very involved in the school. I love having an opportunity to serve and be a leader.
VYPE: Who has been a big influence in your life?
NP: Someone who has been a big influence in my life is my mom. She is a runner and a PA. I watch how hard she works at everything she does.
VYPE: What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
NP: I enjoy running, vacations at the beach, seeing my friends, and doing things for my school.
VYPE: What are your plans for life after high school?
NP: I am hoping to attend an SEC school and be involved in student leadership and sports marketing for football! I plan to continue to run for fun and my health!
