Baker Excited to Return for Senior Season – Presented by RPT Physical Therapy

A few years ago, Preston Baker decided to stop playing other sports and focus on golf. Now a junior in high school, Baker is looking forward to the summer before he starts his final year of prep golf.

Looking back at the season, Baker said overall it was a success.

“This season was good I definitely had some good tournaments and bad tournaments as well but overall; I would say it was a successful season. One area I feel I improved the most is in my putting towards the end of the season I felt it improved a lot,” said Baker.

Spending time with his teammates in practice and at tournaments made the season what it was.

“The thing I like the most about my teammates is how we all have a common goal and try our best push each other as a team to that goal. My favorite moment from this season would have to be when we made state. It came down to the last hole and was very happy to see us make it to the state tournament,” said Baker.

Next season holds a lot of promise for the Lions golf team.

“Next year are team is going to look pretty good we sadly lost one senior this year but will still have some good players to hopefully make it back to the state tournament next year.
My message to my teammates and coaches is to work hard this off season and make the most of next season as the majority of us will be seniors,” said Baker.

Once his senior season ends, Baker would like to attend college and continue playing golf at the next level.
