MOORE HIGH SCHOOL BOYS SOCCER TEAM PREVIEW – Presented by RibCrib

Head Coach: Trevor Hunt

2023 Record: 3-12

As the Moore High School Boys Soccer Team gears up for the upcoming season, Head Coach Trevor Hunt is brimming with excitement. The team, coming off a 3-12 record in 2023, has undergone a transformative off-season.

“I am very excited about this upcoming season! We had a great off-season! We preached the idea of P.R.I.D.E., which is an acronym for Passion, Respect, Integrity, Discipline, and Effort. This is the foundation of our program and the culture we are working towards,” expressed Hunt.

Senior Riley Mull is poised to be a driving force for the Lions this season. Possessing exceptional technical skills, versatility and a stellar GPA, Mull’s on-field prowess extends from playing dangerous balls into the box to assuming various midfield positions. A true leader, he exemplifies a high work ethic and dedication, setting the standard for his teammates.

Sophomore Kayden Hoffman stands out with technical prowess and versatility. A threat in various positions, including center back, attacking midfielder, and winger, Hoffman’s capabilities to win 1v1s and finish opportunities make him a promising player to watch.

Senior Landon Vaughn embodies the term “workhorse.” With a relentless work ethic and the ability to be dangerous both on and off the ball, Vaughn contributes significantly to the team’s success. A positive, coachable leader, Vaughn’s work ethic sets him apart, making him the unsung hero on the field.

Nikola Jekic, known as Niko, exemplifies the program’s core values of P.R.I.D.E. Always accountable for his actions, Niko’s positive character and infectious effort make him an ideal candidate for the program. His commitment to Passion, Respect, Integrity, Discipline, and Effort is a testament to the kind of character the world needs, according to his head coach.

As the Moore High School Boys Soccer Team takes to the field for the 2024 season, the blend of experienced seniors, emerging talents and a strong commitment to P.R.I.D.E. sets the stage for an exciting journey on the soccer pitch.
