Lexington

Moore-Norman Players to Watch – Presented By Landers Auto Group

Drew Dierking – Lexington

Drew is a jack of all trades.  He can play anywhere on the field, and possesses an understanding of the game that is rarely seen at the High School level

Colby Mann – Moore

Colby is a returning starter from the last two years. He is a two-way player who can play multiple positions and is the leader of our pitching staff. We are expecting big things from Colby this year not just as a player, but also as a leader in the locker room.

Clayton Moore – Norman

Expecting him to build off of a good JR year and have a very strong spring on the mound and at the plate.

Zach Idlett – Purcell

Zach has been a two year starter for us and been a prime example of a leader on and off the field.  4.0 GPA and is a hard working kid.  I’m excited to have him back and ready to see what he can do for this upcoming year.  Zach will probably be our number 1 or 2 pitcher and play infield maily when he is not pitching mainly short and second.

Kasen Rinehart – Southmoore

Kasen will be towards the top of our lineup this spring. He is a sophomore that started for us last year as a freshman in a senior heavy lineup. We look to him to provide experience and leadership to this year’s team.

Cam Bates & Kane Springer – Washington

Camden is a two year starter at SS ! He led our team in muiple offensive categories last season. (TENNESSEE commit). Kane is a two year starter at catcher.  He hit in the middle of the order for us and is exceptional behind the plate.  (Murray State College commit)

Eli Hill – Westmoore

Sentence: Eli has started and played significant innings every year for Westmoore and will once again be a large part of our offense at Westmoore. Eli has the ability to help us a few different capacities on the defensive side of the ball. Look for him to have a Bid year at the plate with all the talent and returning players surrounding him. Outside of his baseball abilities Eli is a phenomenal student and human being in our community.

Underclassmen to Watch

Colby Haynes – Lexington

Colby should see significant time in the varsity lineup as a Freshman.  Colby is expected to be a major contributor as the season progresses.

Dezmond Roach – Moore

Dezmond is a sophomore with a lot of potential. Roach is a left-handed hitter with good speed, good barrel control, and developing power.

Noble

Dax Noles – Norman

Very athletic player who will be a big part of what we do on offense this year.

Boston Knowles – Purcell

Boston is a kid that is a tough hard nose player.  He started as a freshman for us at Shortstop. He is always a kid that is staying late after practice taking extra ground balls and taking cuts as well.  Very coachable kid.  Will also do what he is asked to do.  Excited to see him grow even more as a player this upcoming year.  Boston will be our starting shortstop and will have a bigger role in the pitching rotation.

Jake Koweno – Southmoore

Jake is a sophomore this year and will play a vital role for us this spring. We look at Jake seeing time all over the field as well as on the mound.

Gage Geiger – Westmoore

Gage is a Junior and will start in centerfield for Westmoore. Gage led off for us last year and broke the school stolen base record and plans to make another run at it again this season. Gage is an exceptional defender and has the ability to change the outcome of the game when he is playing in the outfield. Along with his Baseball prowess Gage has excelled in the classroom and around the community.

Unsung Hero

Ty Mixon – Lexington

Ty is quiet and unassuming, but  will be expected to be a major contributor on the mound and in the middle of the order.

Jack Poarch – Norman

Will handle the catching duties everyday.  Tough kid

Parker Page – Purcell

Parker was one of those kids that was a utility player, never said a word and played wherever he was asked to play either if it was to catch, pitch, or play the field.  He is a very savvy player for how young he is.  He plays the game like you’re supposed to play it hustling , diving for balls whatever it takes to win the game.  He will be our full time catcher, and pitch and play a little infield if we need him.  Excited for him, ready to see him have a breakout year.

Jacob Hayes – Southmoore

Jacob will be a three year letterman for us. He is always willing to do what is best for the team. He will play all over the field for us and be a true captain for our group this year.

Sutton Moore – Washington

Sutton is the spark at the top of our line-up.  He’s a very solid defender in the outfield.

Kaehler Stilling – Westmoore

Kaehler will be another 4-year starter for Westmoore as he enters his senior season and will see a significant amount of playing time at multiple positions. Kaehler will also pitch for us and can fill many roles in that capacity as well. offensively look for Kaehler to have big year at the plate with his experience and the players around him he should have no trouble finding success.
